Waves We Were a émergé en 2015 dans l’intimité de la chambre nantaise de Kãman Messaadi, répondant à un appel du large
musical. Les guitares y sont tantôt empruntées à Mac DeMarco, tantôt à King Krule et les synthés viennent noyer le tout dans une atmosphère onirique prompte à la dérive auditive.
Quelques touches jazzy viennent étoffer les accords septièmes avec un peu de saxophone, de ci de là.
